I think you should try going for a simple HD soundfont cover since it'd be a lot easier to work with and wouldn't steer to far from the original game vibes <3. But if you're going specifically for Origami King and Color Splash style then I think you'd need better samples + VSTs and possibly need to record some stuff irl.

To be honest the trumpet and sax is something I never wanted to add, but I had to because of the instruments in the actual music. I just wanted to keep the violin and guitar (played by me using a Takamine guitar) so it would sound like Color Splash intro. Criticism is good and I appreciate it :D

While I really applaud the effort, and am impressed that you’re venturing into music remaking as well as your graphic enhancements; I feel like the sound-font/samples (instrument sounds) that you are using sound a bit to stiff and default. It loses a bit of the charm compared to the original I’m afraid! I’m a huge audiophile though so don’t take my attempt at constructive criticism too hard; keep up the good work :D
