Venerable Ro

"In the back of her mind, she considered what domain she would try next. Light? Truth? Fate? Fortune? Water? What else even went with Mirrors or Illusion? Could she go abstract, would that be smart?" Fate/Fortune domains are a significant responsibility, once you put your hand directly on the scale you own the outcome. Samantha has already experienced a crisis of conscience twice over with the tarot, she'd best think carefully before weaving that into her day-to-day. That said, it would probably work fairly well for her, no obvious synergies aside from the tarot, but no major disharmonies either. Light's a good 'un, works very well with illusions and pretty well with mirrors, and can achieve some direct combat applicability. Particularly good for dealing with dead and/or corrupted things, and often has purifying capabilities for things like cursebreaking. Solid choice for follower quality-of-life. Truth, bad idea there, massive anti-synergy with illusion and goes directly against her current modus operandi. Probably best to avoid explicitly aligning herself with a domain that presumes a particular course of action. Otherwise you end up stagnating like a war god with no enemies he can war against. Water is a strong element, as they all are, and would help her illusions and mirrors along (especially if ice isn't segregated as a subdomain). It's also concrete, always available, and deceptively powerful when used with subtlety. That said, it's not, "conceptually harmonious", as it were, and doesn't mesh neatly with the aesthetic she's already establishing. Ultimately, while I definitely sympathize with her desire for greater personal agency I think at this stage she'd be better off consolidating her portfolio by grabbing something that allows her to empower her followers and pursue her long-term plans. Direct combat such as the recent cave fight should be the exception rather than the rule, so she shouldn't invest overmuch in an ability she won't get constant use out of.
