Big changes coming! Good changes!

I have finally gotten a new job!
The job starts the 27th of june, so twenty days from now. What does this mean for my stories and subscribers? Well, for subscribers, relatively little. You will no longer need to subscribe. However! In thanks to all your support, you're all going to be invited to a free mailing list, and will continue to get all of my stories first, and invited to comment/request what I work on. I absolutely hated trying to monetize my hobby. I enjoy my hobby, and want to continue it. But I want you to keep your money and spend it elsewhere, support others who need it as I needed it myself.
Don't cancel right away, I'm still writing for this month, and I'll get the emails for the subscriber list from my patron supporter list. Also, your requests and suchlike will still get filled as I get to it. Thanks a bunch for literally keeping me alive these past months, and I hope you like the idea of no longer paying for early access, but still getting it.
Ultimately, this is going to give you more stories to read overall, because I'm going to be honest, I've felt like my health has declined noticeably over the past six months I've been unemployed. My mental health is largely better, but having to carefully ration medicines and doctor visits has been kind of rough. My new job is a work from home job, so while writing may be a bit slower, I'm probably going to be healthier and wealthier, and keep going for years to come.
Thanks so much for all your support. Just to reiterate, I will be making a mailing list using the emails you provided as part of this patreon. You'll still get early access and the opportunity to make requests, and no longer have to pay for it. I will still be writing as usual up until I actually start working.

Some people really can't monetize their hobbies. Which is fine. Life shouldn't be about money. And "the grind" is just the worst. And as you said, bad for your mental health. It's very good to have a job and then go back to writing afterwards and not worry about needing money from it. Being unemployed and trying to make money to get by via your hobby is quite possibly the worst thing you could do. Quitting a job and making a hobby into a business is something you need to do very carefully. And most startups fail, anyway. So I can't imagine trying to do what you did. I'm very happy for you. And your mental health. Don't feel obligated to push for this, but it's very possible you have more output now due to better mental health. Though, you gotta make sure to enforce work life balance and stop even though you feel like you're behind, and then have fun writing.
