Because, as I've told others in the same situation, you have pledged but not actually paid any money yet. As you can see you've gained access to this post without paying the pledge; merely promising to. If the password was in this post, there'd be nothing stopping you or anyone else from pledging, getting the password and then unpledging without actually paying anything.

I just became a $10 patron, but I don't know where to find the password. I thought it'd be here in the post. How is that any less secure? EDIT: I've seen now what you've said to others in the same situation, but I'm still kinda confused why not just put the password in this very post? It'd be just as secure, as only $10 patrons can see it, and don't have to wait a week to get what they pay for. Just curious.
