If you are using Windows 7/8, then this is probably the reason. The software we use in development has stopped supporting some older operating systems. For the new version 0.7.0, we have released an experimental build with Windows 7/8 support. Try downloading this version by becoming our patron, or wait until it becomes publicly available.
