Furthermore, "If national security laws are introduced, China will reinforce Hong Kong's control. Hong Kong's citizens' freedom will be further impaired. Democratic lawmakers and activists in Hong Kong responded by saying, "The End of Hong Kong." The US has also accused the Chinese government of an attack on Hong Kong's freedom."

Although she never knew the next news, the date of BBC news was on 21 April 2020. Therefore, this may not count.

Please be mindful that these articles published in Japanese are from Japanese pov. So they are not entirely neutral. Eg. Senkaku islands they quoted in brackets as part of Japan, but actually Senkaku Island is disputed territory under international law. It is not recognised as part of Japan by many.

Well China hasn't attacked Taiwan, but it will be involved in war games this summer for a practice run apparently.
