Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (Commentary/Review)

I really really enjoyed this movie, I had some issues here and there but overall it was incredibly strong and was yet another example that the people making these movies just get this franchise and these character, really beautiful stuff!

Yeah that might be it. Their battle with eachother is fantastic, but after that it just falls a little flat. I think there’s plenty more stories to tell and honestly some great character work to do for Sonic. I really want to see him start growing up a bit, push him from being a kid into being a teenager and young adult, I’d love to see that growth.

I absolutely loved Sonic 3 and I'm glad you did too. Regarding the fight at the end where Shadow and Sonic are fighting together, I think what might have happened is that they focussed a bit too much on the fight between the hedgehogs, forgetting to also focus on when they fight together. Still a shame, but I'm guessing that's what happened. In any case, I'm happy with this Trilogy of Sonic films. I don't particularly need, or care for, any more, even though they'll easily get 6 films total out of it

I was so hyped from the metal sonic and Amy reveal that I left the theater and I’m just now realizing there was a second post credits scene 😭😭
