Yeah for sure, in the context of the story Henry is basically roleplaying. And a major part of the game are the social norms that define the period and so Henry really has to play roles to get by. That’s actually really clever. I like how the context and gameplay inform eachother.

That sucks, it’s been plain sailing for me so far, sucks to have all those issues on any system at all.

I think in regards to the synthesis between roleplaying as Henry and as yourself, it works so well because Henry, for the most part, is written as a sort of social chameleon, who changes the way he behaves depending on the people he's around. For Henry, it's how he survives in his situation despite his ordinary upbringing, but for the player, it is typically just how you would play a character in an RPG. I think his ordinary nature bolsters the connection with the player because in any given situation, "what Henry would do" is usually what you would do as well. Not sure if that makes any sense at all but that's the best way I can articulate how the game approaches Henry as both a predefined character and a conduit for the player.

For the record, I do like the game. However, it is really buggy on the Series X. This is particularly true with the bunny rabbit alert system. In one quest, despite not doing anything wrong, I’m stuck with an orange bunny, which means that everyone around me is behaving as if I’ve just murdered someone. This whole experience means that I can’t complete said quest due to being unable to interact with key characters. Hoping for a patch soon, as I really want to keep playing.
