Assassin's Creed II - 15 Years Later (Retrospective Redux)
🕑 Added 2025-03-22 12:45:28 +0000 UTCWell folks, it's finally done, at least the final draft is done for Patreon. I'll give it another watch over the next week and see if there's anything I desperately need to change before I put it up on YouTube.
One thing I am thinking of doing is actually just rendering the whole thing at 30fps. Although there is footage I use in the video that is 60fps, it does feel odd to have some clips running at 60 while most of it runs at 30, might perhaps even be a tad distracting, but maybe that's just me. Just though that could actually keep the whole thing feeling a little more cohesive.
This project has taken me so much longer than I planned, but has also come out so much better than I'd expected. I talk a bit more about the process and my thoughts on the whole thing during the post-amble at the end of the video so give that a listen if you care.
ANYWAY, I hope you all enjoy! I should get around to making the monhtly patreon video soon too so watch out for that and don't forget to drop a topic on the recent Clubhouse thread before Thursday. Thanks a bunch gamers, so happy to have this one finished.

Thanks so much mate 🙏🏻. As for Brotherhood, I don’t have plans to do one right now, as in it’s not something I’m actively thinking about but I do expect to make one at some stage, at least in the next 2 years, we shall see.

Well… it took me 6 days to get through it but what a journey. A wonderful piece of work James and it’s truly a testament to your ever growing skill at this. I’m happy you chose not to rush this and I think it’s a miracle you got it finished at all while in the middle of a house move so congrats. AC2 is very special to me and seeing it analysed like this was a joy. Especially considering is a fair assessment, it’s neither fanboyish nor full of negatives, it’s a fair analysis of what you see before you. And that’s what we’re all here for on Patreon. You’ve shown me a great deal more about the game that I could see myself. Looking forward to your next works. In the meantime I’ll be busy finding the peice of Eden.
