The bombing memorial in Hiroshima was harrowing, to say the least.

A podcast I follow just wrapped up their series touching on the lead up and after affects of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The last few episodes made me feel physically ill. None of my history courses, even college level, ever touched on how atrocious it was.
Weirdly, this is one thing that I get kind of emotional about when I read about it and look at the photos from it. Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and 911 are three things that always manage to put a lump in my throat. It... /Sigh. I'm looking forward to this episode but I know it's gonna hit me in the feels.
