Half-linear or sandbox?

I’d like to know your opinion about something. As you know, some parts of the game are linear, but the first iteration of the open-world mechanics has been introduced in the latest update. So, here’s the thing: I’d like to know if you prefer a more or less linear game with some interactivity or a sandbox with an open world. That’s why I’ve decided to do a poll. Cast your vote!

Me personally, I would choose to have a linear but well built, compelling and interesting story rather than an open sandbox. It is what attracted me in this game in the first place. If I may add, I think focusing on branching paths with true consequences to our decisions would be much more exciting.
