It's time for the exclusive patreon podcast :-D Today I am joined by special guest, Gameboy Guru! Guru has been a very long time friend of the channel (having appeared in episode 5 of the OG podcast as well as coming to all the IRL Shmup Slams), patron, and runs his own shmup podcast called "Shoot the Core-Cast."
Today, the topic at hand is I think an excellent discussion of what is the nature of Game Ownership, and how is it shifting from a traditional one-time-purchase media container model to now an Online Focused subscription model riddled with DRM and copyright. We also give our thoughts on the Nintendo Switch 2 vs. the Wii U and our favorite handhelds :-)

I don't know, I think the Switch 2 feels a lot more robust and mechanically solid than the Switch 1. Obviously I get the point about not handing that expansive thing to kids and all that, but still. Really enjoyable episode and great guest though, my favorite podcast!
