🕑 Added 2025-09-04 16:39:49 +0000 UTCYesterday marked one year since my brother passed away. I think I've been a mess this past week, and so has my mom. I feel like I'm trapped in a day where the past and present happen simultaneously. Every night before I go to sleep, I tell myself, "Tomorrow will be the day I finally get my life together," but even if I manage to get up early, I still mess everything up.

I'm really sorry you're still having to go through this. Have you tried exploring some communities online who might be able to offer some helpful advice? I know it's a different situation to the one I'm in, but I've found various CFS/ME and mental health communities on Reddit that have been really useful. ❤️

Life never gets together, not really. It’s about finding one thing that day you can do, no matter what it may be, and one thing you can enjoy. And anything beyond that, is just a bonus. And it’s always okay to not be okay.

I'm sorry that things still aren't coming together for you. Big tragedies have a tendency to derail lives like that and it is a shame that you and your mother are still suffering.
