Enjoyed watching with you!! So I think you may have missed in the beginning but he was in Alaska when he was living on that bus. That was the Alaskan wilderness. 😁 So he did make it to where he wanted to be. You mentioned that the message was kinda contradicting but I think he just honestly changed his perspective in the end. Yes he made it to where he wanted but because he isolated himself.. he realized that its still lonely to experience the beauty of that place alone.. "Happiness is only real when shared." I think when he realized he was going to die out there that he knew that he made a mistake. If you are going to be that far off the grid in the middle of nowhere.. you need to know how to do everything needed to survive.. like how to hunt something and cook and eat it properly.. he clearly didnt fully know what he was doing. Its ironic that this movie about a man who wants to isolate himself from society has some of the most beautiful human connection moments in it. Thanks again for reacting to this. And OMG yes that scene of him by the water with the big rock and the birds flying makes me tear up when I see it.. its so freaking beautiful 😍
