Put out a sitar video on the 2nd channel chatting about it :) well more playing it I guess, not so much on recording with it. Once big challenge when recording with it was just keeping it in the same place with the mics. Have to wedge it into the wall so I could walk away from it and hit record between takes.

Not to directly here, more so going through the regular metal playing moves and seeing what still works on the instrument.

Yea that's definitely on the to-do list currently I'm between whether I should write a 4-ish minute song with what I've written on it so far or if I should expand that to a half hour. Leaning towards half hour.

Saw this comment on the 2nd channel video for Sitar and figured I'd spread it here. Rob, you should do a half hour of Sitar. 500 likes on that comment. I'd love to hear a new half hour video with Sitar only.

Yea, I'm planning on doing a few videos like that soon. I really enjoy making stuff for the 2nd channel. And it did take some getting used to for sure. Had a similar feel to a scalloped neck but like, times ten.

19? haha, yea the biggest issue would be to dampen all those strings while trying to rock the solo :D but my interest is in how those long ring out notes would turn out, I need to get to that one day

Yea, I think it worked surprisingly well! Was a challenge to keep the sounds that define it as a sitar while also incorporating the rock/metal styles I'm used to.

Would be interesting but it would probably just end up sounding like a crappy guitar. I can't imagine the 19 strings really all coming through when it was distorted.
