oooooo one string? I'd say learn to play slide and use a scale were the route note is the open string and keep referring to it.

I found trying my 8 string through a Marshall at the shop it was pretty meh, but once I tried it through my bandmates' 5150 and Tube Screamer it sounded AMAZING! I've not heard the Yamaha THR 10X but it may have the same problem as the Marshall did.

Hi, Rob, cheers for the advice, I keep treating the 8 string like I treated the 7 when I first got it but this is a whole different ball game, rather than playing it like a 6 string play it like a 7 with an extra 8th note as accents I believe is what you was saying. I'm playing through a Yamaha THR 10X btw. I'm aiming for a tone similar to yours in that video with Jared on the Djent stick??? All the Best, Ryan.
