Dan

I hereby deduct 5 respect points for taking “higher dimensional elves” seriously. This hurts me more than it hurts you.

PityTheHateful

Chen took the drugs once that night. The rapist case, he consumed and consumed and consumed. For me that's part of the difference. Just got to you saying the same :)

Ewelina

Just signed up to this as I absolutely love your work and what makes this episode so special is that song.

This one had the most haunting 911 call, thanks for all the content Matty!

John Mckay

I've never actually seen this episode somehow so was a welcome surprise to be able to go and watch that and then come back for the commentary!

In my experience, antidepressants negate the effect of 'shrooms and LSD.

Reiken Kayzer

Absolutely. I am always looking for new music, can never get enough. So since this video, I've always been wondering if you'd show more great music. Especially from New Zealand or Australia, since I have a major gap in music from part of the world. Keep up the fantastic work. This is my place for true crime, and your phenomonal growth as a creator has been amazing to watch.

Matt Orchard

One of the better arguments for making the time to get that vid re-uploadable would be introducing more people to that band.

"Don't do drugs, don't do sport" I think will be my new catchphrase

This video--interesting as it is--will forever be the video where I discovered Ingrid and The Ministers. I love the entire discography. The second album comes as quite a shock when you've listened to the first (which includes Pepper'n'Sand from the video). I wondered if you'd mention the track, and boy did you ever. Okay, now time to watch the rest of the video.

Rob

This will hold me over. Can't wait but I will.

Benjamin Averitt

Thanks Matt! Looking forward to the next intriguing drop.

I’m sure your take on Joel Guy will be fantastic. I think the lack of video of him actually talking or being human makes the case that much more interesting. Such horrific acts committed by a pasty, arrogant blob, who never showed any remorse or any human emotion, makes the case, for me, fascinating.

I can't seem to locate the original video on your YouTube channel. Why isn't it up there and where else can i watch it . Love your videos btw

corvdb1992 .

I know people who have similar positive experiences. And while I'm no stranger to occasional recreational use of stimulants in the past, I've never dared taking drug that could make me hallucinate... Has to do with my experience with night terrors and my (justified or not) worry I'd be stuck in a long ass night terror if I take such a drug.

Matt Orchard

They've got tons of great ones! Porcelain God, When it Happens and Tryin' and Dyin' are other favs :)

Deep! I don't know if I've ever heard someone say shrooms feel stronger than LSD on a pound for pound basis. I guess with shrooms there are trickier variables with it being an organic product. certain doses effect different eco systems in different ways, and maybe there are differences between strains. Not really sure about the science of it!

Elisabeth Villoutreix

I had to go listen to the Ingrid & the Ministers track before I could continue with the commentary :). Good one!

I once dabbled in the cultivation of psilocybin mushrooms, and my first trip was rather life-changing. (If you haven’t experienced ego-death, you’re really missing out.) LSD is, for me, how you described shrooms. Except it lasts 12 hours, and I wanted to be done around hour 8. I’ve been on three shroom trips, and twice now I’ve gone into my trips with the intention of tackling a problem in my life. It’s been tremendously helpful in reducing my anxiety and depression. One of my ‘vision quests’ even gave me the idea to pursue my career in software development. Moral of the story: the hippies lost, and now we mostly take psychedelics to get ahead in our hunger-games-esque capitalistic hellscape.

Great work mate! Keep smashing it.

Thanks for all your work! Really looking forward to this one
