Enjoy your early premiere everyone! Significantly shorter than usual, but I hope you agree I made every second count. It might actually be in my personal top 3, so while it may not be for everyone, I hope those who like it really like it :)
If you're on the $2 tier, you'll notice this early premiere is available for everyone. The reason for that is I'm waiting to hear back on if I can get a high def version of the bodycam in the middle section. The answer to that may be no, and even if it's a yes I could get it tomorrow or months from now. I didn't think Patrons should have to just wait for however long when the vid is (aside from that one small thing) complete.

I once had a terrible accident where a large portion of skin was ripped from my arm, revealing the tendons and whatnot below. My first reaction was to say out loud "is this real?". Interesting to see the responding officer have this same reaction to the ghastly sight of River tussling with the tiger.

I agree that saving River no matter what is the right course of action, but I think it's so heartbreaking that a beautiful, endangered tiger had to lose his life because of River's sheer idiocy.

Great video, Matt. It’s tragic that an innocent animal had to pay for a human’s stupidity. I have two cats at home, and no one loves kitty cuddles more than I do, but I wouldn’t dream of petting a big cat (as much as I would like to in a fantasy world where wild animals don’t eat people). Humans need to learn to let nature be.

I am absolutely livid at Rivers. His actions led to an endagered tiger to be shot, caused grief among the staff, caused grief to the public, caused grief for the people who found him in the state he was in, and for putting Officer Doe in the position he was put in. Officer Doe is absolutely free from ANY blame and I understand his actions and find them justified. At the end of the day, the human life goes over that of a (critically endangered) tiger. Ultimately, I agree with your analysis. There ought not be some gruesome form of death penalty for being a colossal idiot.

Yeah, I grew up with cats and I've had them latch onto my arm and bite me enough times. If it weren't for their size, I would have definitely been mauled to death by now.

Situations like this are really heartbreaking for me. There's no malicious intent, and even actually a sweet intent, just people being idiots. It's tragic for the tiger to be shot, but I have a lot of sympathy for someone wanting to be kind and it turning out so badly.

I have always been fascinated by people wanting to pet big cats (or really any wild animal). My house cat is my world and I love her more than life itself, but she is psychotic and if she was big enough to eat me we would not be roommates! Such a weird impulse to have, let alone act on.
