This time an instrument that you play by not touching it... what?
Also added a plug to all of you in there :)

This is a great look at the theremin, as well as just seeing how hard it really must be to master. Love the videos where you look at various different instruments. This one in particular though as I've always kinda felt a pull to the theremin, though I've sadly never tried one. I did do my dissertation at uni on the origins of the theremin, and attempted to build my own prototype though... it didn't go as planned sadly - it would play notes but it was inverted to how it should be. Oh well, still passed!

Thanks Jeanine :)

Thanks Jesse! Yea these have been really exciting to make too. I'll put the nyckelharpa on the to-do list :) We have a few others already shot too. Pipe organ (an instrument the size of a building) A baseball stadium (interview with Wrigley field's organist) baroque guitar (what a guitar was in 1500)

I initially wasn't planning on it, but maybe I should as a follow up to this video.

Wow wow wow! So fascinating! And I really love how you interact with other musicians, Rob. The mutual excitement and respect is really clear in your videos.

Aside from the fun guitar playing videos, my favorite videos are the in depth videos where we learn about strange instruments! Still hoping for a nyckelharpa video Rob!

That is so amazing. Do you have any plans to experiment more with your theramin after this? Practice the technique?
