How does Forvo fit into your workflow ?
🕑 Added 2021-03-24 13:38:35 +0000 UTCI want to add Forvo support to Language Tools and make it available for AwesomeTTS Plus subscribers. Forvo is special because it has pronunciations from native speakers, but it might also has a lot of variance in quality, and may also be missing some words.
- When do you prefer Forvo pronunciation ?
- If a word is not found on Forvo, what do you do ?
- Are you happy with the top-rated pronunciation, or do you prefer to listen to a few and pick one ?

With my Chinese deck I already have had most of the words recorded by a few native speakers of various quality. I have already added TTS to all the words to get some standardization. Later, I will add forvo pronunciations so that when I working on a "tone" card there will be multiple pronunciations of the same word. This is really important for Chinese where honing in on tonal patterns can be tricky.
1. Any single word is forvo'ed first, but I need to deconjugate the word first if it comes from a sentence card 2. TTS but considering apps that search google videos for the word 3. Korean never has more than 3 recordings per sound and no rating, I tend to add all of them. If there were enough ratings I'd prob with the first one.
