Dev Log — February 2024

It's time for an early dev log this month and I have some progress to share on the dynamic avatars and customizable dorm rooms!
Dynamic Avatars
We want the dynamic avatars to be perfect before we embark on the long journey of updating all the clothes in the game to work with its Live2D sprite, and for that reason, we have employed the help of additional artists to help with its design.
IGGI
The images here are by IGGI, who has lent us their expertise in explosive female body proportions to help us find the right direction for the curvaceous and voluptuous sprites. These are not sketches for the final sprites, but mock-ups and suggestions we will be using to make the dynamic avatar. I thought I'd share them because they give a good understanding of the general pose and proportions we are working towards ❤️

DekoTF
Another artist who has offered to help with the dynamic avatars is DekoTF, who you may know for their kinky TF work. Besides being a great artist, Deko also has a great understanding of emergent narrative and has helped with shaping some upcoming changes to the game that are bound to make it more fun and engaging!
A thing by Deko you will already be able to see on the test server is their upgraded image for the smooth skin effect! 😍

Customizable Dorm Rooms
We have also made progress on the customizable dorm rooms and are finally able to show you the perspective that will be used together with some sample furniture and decorations!
Our plans for the dorm rooms include:
- Accessing your stash by clicking on the background.
- Hiding and replacing existing furniture to make the room your own.
- Adding decorations like plants, statues, posters, and more.
- A brass brazier for sacrificing items to alter your fortune during your next exploration run.
- A nightstand for storing your naughty secrets with unique interactions for inanimate players.
The room will have multiple dedicated slots for placing items, like your desk, window, the back wall, the side wall, the floor next to your desk, and on top of your bed. Naturally, you'd be able to turn other players into furniture or decorations for your room, but there will also be plenty of opportunities to have animate players live out their life as your possession, whether it involves heavily bondaged human furniture, or mind-controlled students made to await your next command.
Players will also be able to change the carpeting, wallpaper, roof, and light source to alter the overall color scheme and feel of their room to their liking.
Steam Page Release
This month we'll be releasing the Steam page for the game and I'm working overtime to finish up the last few things I'd like to have ready, namely, screenshots that better reflect what the game is going to look like by the time it is released on Steam, instead of what it looks like now. For that reason, I have been spending a lot of time these last few weeks finishing up a new and improved UI for the game that will also be used for the upcoming PvE overhaul.
We are moving away from the old PS5-inspired style to something more simple that better fits the rest of the game, while also making UI elements obscure less of the game behind them. You may also notice that the vignette will be removed entirely to make backgrounds more visible, and items no longer become darker when placed near the edges of the screen, so they will always stand out clearly in your inventory!
The Steam page release is also the reason why we're moving fast on the customizable dorm rooms right now, because I'd like for it to appear in some of the screenshots. In addition, we are finalizing the appearances of fortune cards and the PvE minigame, which I would also like to have ready for when the page goes live, and I will share more with you on Discord when I have something more finished to show!
I am running a bit late on all the things I wanted ready for the Steam page because of all the bugs I had to sort out last month, so unfortunately I won't be able to re-enable sex acts in the game until after, but once it's released, I plan on focusing all my time on fixing the last few things that didn't make it into the previous update, so you can have more content to play around with before I go deep into finishing the PvE overhaul!

I'm really looking forward to the dynamic avatars. I think it'll be one of the very few games in the genre that actually have them, and I think it'll be a wonderful addition that'll attract more players!

Many exciting new things to look forward to! Customizable rooms sounds fun, I really like the idea and it would be great to be actually able to interact with things in the background. Playing on the test server feels a little weird now, with the unstylized UI, it's feels almost... too plain? Well, since it's a bunch of little Windows now, maybe we could have them be freely moveable via drag and drop? That would definitely be an upgrade! Looking forward to see more! =)
