Awesome 3D Printing advice from Ameralabs!
🕑 Added 2020-09-24 09:33:20 +0000 UTCHey guys! One thing that always frustrates me online is when I see people struggling to get prints to work and the discussions over adhesion issues. The inevitable "sand your build plate" advice crops up, along with other ludicrous advice like Lube your FEP!!!
Essentially, if you are suffering with print failures, unless there is an actual manufacturing defect with your printer you can almost always solve them by adjusting your support settings or your printer settings.
I got this advice from Andrius at Ameralabs a while back when I was suffering some print failures and I started following it and it's been all good since then! this article
So to sum up NEVER SAND YOUR BUILD PLATE, AND ABSOLUTELY NEVER LUBE YOUR FEP!!!!!!! read the article, understand what everything means and then apply it to your resin prints for regular repeated success! oh and all of my newer supported files from the Kingsguard onwards will be using this principle too!
Oh, and if you can get an order in, try the ameralabs AMD3resin for a quick curing high detail awesome resin! one of my personal favourites (not on commission or anything, no affiliate link either, just want to share my findings!)
Happy printing!!

100% this. Your FEP is TEFLON, you don't make it better with rain-x. Your build plate is rarely bettered by sanding, get it milled and gently bead blasted if not flat but cheaper to buy another one.
