That's awesome! How the hell does Milo have so much luck? Why did he say nobody had the luck stat enough for dungeons, what's the prefered threshold then?

So in answer to your question, honestly it seems far more complicated than it seems, but I wanted something where the quality of ingredients and number of ingredients effected the buff time, so in a formula written out, it does look complicated its not that bad. The reason for this is because If I went too simple like giving everything a 2-3 hour buff time, it would lose impact later when using multiple rare items and it's still the same as a common roll with a common herb. Then on the rune carving, the life of the rune is there because if he's going to be selling to merchants in the future they likely wont have a time freezing device, so it will matter, I also felt it was justified that different qualities would effect the buff time, both in work and rune quality, and since it impacts the experience it was important. These formulas are something that Trevor will never actually work out, in the story but its the behind the scenes for me to keep track of things :)

If you have the time could you explain your thought process on why these equations? Did you make them up yourself? Do you feel hindered by putting hard math into your creative process? What happens when you want to break these rules and just change it up?

It would, but he's passing to Milo out of habit at this stage because until it was listing all his food items it wouldn't be stored, and at least historically i've had Trevor as not that mindful to retry things he's already deemed not possible! this will change over time with growth

OK! every status sheet is now up! :D oo actually something else people have asked a lot I'm going to add their ages there too, its not normally part of the sheet but a lot of people are curious Lastly if you want to see anyone else, let me know I have character sheets for most characters who are not more than a passing individual (for example random innkeeper in a village) - I will say I do not have abilities for people who will not be engaged in combat

That would work, but yeah he needs to work it out, the system really relies on intent, so if he had a reason to see gold / silver as essential for cooking then the system would allow it. just right now, he doesn't :D

I like this as reference material. Also he should so the mental gymnastics to allow him to put his gold and silver in storage. Since you can get drinks and food with gold on it!
