- also 53 new cooking props!! - Sign Post - which unlocks extra gameplay to be used alongside the cookbook
- New Ingredients - from hunting/foraging and homemade/village Shoppe
- A variety (10) of animals which can be turned into meat for cooking
- Seeds for recipes and homemade flour
- Ingredients from the Village Shoppe for cooking and making homemade
versions
- Animal fat which can be used to make candles (Eco Living Required)

📝Helpful when Reporting Errors 📝
These are things that are considered to be very helpful to me when reporting problems:
- What packs you have installed - this can help to narrow down a problem if something is showing incorrectly or not working as expected.
- Specific details if something isn't working - such as a recipe stopping after a certain stage or a buff showing incorrectly after using the sign post.
- Any other mods you have installed at the time of the error - it would be extra helpful if you could replicate the error with only this mod installed as this can help determine if it is something more than a mod conflict and is in fact something wrong with this mod.
- If you could provide a picture, that would be great!

- Any smaller details I may have overlooked (for example a vegetarian meal but your sim starts chopping meat, a prop used is incorrect or getting sick from a vegetarian meal etc)
- Any mistakes with the strings/text in game

✨ Downloading the mod✨
I have packaged the file using WinRAR to try and make the process a little easier. Once you have extracted the file (simply right click, extract here) a folder should appear. Inside that folder everything should be organised so it's easier to understand.
There will be 5 sub folders:
- The Cookbook - this is the main download
- Required animation - only choose 1. EA or Custom oven ( which has a poke fire animation that fits well with the custom oven I made)
- Grand meals - only choose 1 of these, Base Game or Seasons
Optional files
- Custom Ovens - optional
- The Sign Post - optional if you want some extra gameplay such as the hunting.
Feel free to send me any questions or if you need help with something.
Ps. Make sure you don't have the 'old' version of this cookbook in your mods folder when playing with this one!

What's new to stage 2?
- Changed the plate textures to lighter brown as that was the more popular vote from the poll!
- Added prices to the recipes. These were worked out by adding the ingredients and their respective prices together. Generic fruit/veg = §5 generic fish = §15
- Updated descriptions on objects and ingredients
- Recipes no longer require all ingredients
What's new to stage 3?
- Added new recipes 🥳
- Updated the oven pie menus to cook food from the cookbook
- Massive string organisation for future translations 😴 (not very fun)
- Should now display in English for all language strings ( there shouldn't be any blanks - let me know if i've missed something!)
- Slight changes to some previous recipes.
What's new to final testing?
- Added new recipes including a few drinks recipes 🥳
- Added the sign post to the outdoor activities catalogue section
- Added a 'visit village physician' to remove the bear attack buff
- Added 'The Docks' where you can visit the fisherman's market
- Smoothing out some of the bumps

As you may have seen, the sims team has decided to add foraging (something I never thought they would add 😅 ) But i'm so happy this will be a feature! Don't worry, I'm hoping to combine the foraging/hunting from this mod along with the sims version depending on how they have implemented it, it may still be worth having the sign post - especially if it's limited only to the new world.

I absolutely love this mod! I've been playing with it for a few days now, and it's so much fun! It makes me want to fully commit to a historical/medieval save! I actually enjoyed the bear mauling, especially since the sims get such a large loot every time they go out hunting or foraging, so it's a great way to stop me from going out too many times, but it would be really nice to have a tonic or to link it to the Outdoor Retreat herbalism so I'm glad to hear that that's planned for the future. I can see that you have put so much time and effort into this mod, and it's absolutely amazing! I can't wait to make a tavern when it's fully released!

I have been looking into the bear buff and looking at how to reduce the chances of it happening.. I am planning on making some tonics to remove the buff and also for some of the others to tie in with herbalism. Plenty more recipes to come 😊

I've been using this nonstop! I love everything about this mod!!! My only suggestion is maybe they not get mauled by bears so much? It seems to happen every 3rd hunting trip. And maybe you can add a herbalism tonic to deal with pain? Is there a way to add more soup recipes or allow the stove to be upgraded to use fuel sources to use more recipes? Baking bread and making soups have been a staple since way before medieval times. But in all fairness, this is the best medieval-type mod that I could have ever hoped for

To be honest there isn't much detail on the plates.. I was going for very basic wood but I have done a little recolour and will post a picture/poll to see if it's any better. Thank you for the feedback! 😊

I just finished testing and i love it!!! I didn't see any problems other then i need more lol. The only critique i can think of is maybe different or lighter plate colors it was kind of hard to see the details on the plate but that was it.
