Fires Require Wood ~ Add on Mod

This mod will not do anything on it's own. You need to have the collecting wood.package in the Hunting & Foraging Mod.

This mod overrides** Lighting and Extinguishing of ALL:
Fireplaces
Campfires
Bonfires
**This mod will conflict with mods altering lighting & extinguishing fires.
It should be compatible with cc fireplaces, bonfires and campfires.
In game:
When directing your sim to light a fire, you need to have the foraged wood in the sims inventory or the option will be greyed out.
When lighting or adding a log, 1 firewood will be used.
I have changed the 'light fire' animation to add a log and the 'extinguish fire' animation to pouring a bucket of water to keep it more rustic.

Hi, your sim can collect wood via the Sign Post that you place on your lot. It’s under the forest activities 😊

i’ve downloaded all that it says is required for this mod but there is no option for my sims to collect wood and i’ve tried everything.

I'm working on my own custom hearth oven as otherwise I think it would conflict too easily with other mods if I were to override the stoves.

Are you planning on adding an add-on so that stoves and ovens require firewood, too? .. and possibly grills? because those would make sense, too.

I was wondering about the recipes, and how I find them to use with the new mod. I've noticed that if I hunt rabbit for instance, the meat can be used in dishes requiring meat. I also love the rabbit holes for the theater and the wandering minstrel. I had way too much fun this weekend putting this mod through its paces. It was a blast.

You’re killing it with these! I’m so excited to get this into my Henford on Bagley lot. I downloaded and have been playing with the foraging mod and it has revitalized my playing! I was in a sims rut but not anymore!

You should be able to have only the collecting wood package (along with the main package) I've made it where you can pick and choose what parts to have. If there's any issues let me know!
