Mod Update - Hunting & Foraging
🕑 Added 2024-10-03 08:22:02 +0000 UTCHelloo and thank you for your patience whilst waiting for this update!
There's a few fixes and a couple of small new additions!

With the DX11 update a few icons broke, these should now all be fixed (if you notice any I've missed please let me know)
A big blooper that should now also be fixed is the weight issue for sims returning after activities (sorry about that oversight and for it taking so long to be fixed!)
Updates to a few item descriptions to better explain the current available purposes.
There has also been a few behind the scenes changes to now allow foraged Acorns, Chestnuts, Tea Leaves, and Mint to be planted!! (These are my first harvestable plants so let me know if you have any issues with them.. I know plants can be a little temperamental in game sometimes)
Sims with level 2 and higher in the Foraging Skill will now be able to harvest dandelions & nettles when weeding plants from their garden! - (I also changed the animation for area weeding to pick weeds instead of using the machine) - this is an override so be careful not to use alongside other mods altering weeding.
I've also added another activity - Pumpkin Picking - which will show throughout the Fall season under the Village Activities! So you can send your sims and they will return with a pumpkin of varying colours & sizes (cottage living pack needed for your sim to bring home a pumpkin)
You can find this update over on the Hunting & Foraging Mod download page!

Hi! At the moment they are a little limited but I do have plans to add more recipes using them. Currently the ginger can be used to ease tummy ache from eating raw meat (this is a work in progress area as I will be using ginger for my medicine box) and they have the herb/veggie tags to be used in recipes 😊

Hi I love this mod! Just wondering how to use the ginger, nettle, dandelion etc? I read through the guide but didn't see anything, it is possible I missed it! I know you have some august tea recipes that will incorporate them but is there anything else? Thanks for all your work!

Yes! I'm still working on a few new additions before putting the update out.

Hi! Will there be an update for this for the fairies update?
bub
Currently they are used when crafting certain types of bait and also can be used as an ingredient in my flower crafting table override for making wreaths :)

What are the acorns used for?

I was just informed that: "Dylan's new Foraging Skill will allow him to explore the forest, hunt and forage for him own food." I poked around for a bit in the packages' string tables looking for this lil guy but gave up after a few minutes because I'm a lazy American. Sufficed to say, Kink Charles would not approve of his English being used in this way, madame.

This is so much fun. There’s activities to do year round. I haven’t planted the new plants yet but about one hour in and having a great time. I may need to do an update video.

I think it's a fun way to shoo away some sims for a bit haha! I think I'll do more festive activities in the future!

Thank you so much for all your hard work. Pumpkin picking is a really nice option, especially for this "leafy" season.
