ios App Store Fee + Patreon billing changes

I wanted to make you aware that starting in November, new membership purchases made through the ios Apple Store will come with an additional 30% fee attached to the tier price. This is the 'App Store Fee' and will be in place from November so that Patreon can keep their app on the ios store.
I would recommend using the website directly once these new changes are in place or you will be subjected to this additional fee. (I do not receive anything extra with this fee, it goes to Apple.)
This will not effect you if you do not pledge through the ios Patreon App.

Also due to changes within Patreon all creators are being gradually moved over to 'subscription' based billing. This means new members will be charged on the date they subscribed each month rather than the 1st. Existing members will still be charged on the 1st as normal.

To check for subscriptions on Apple, go to settings, then click your name. This goes to your account. There, you will see Subscriptions. Click it, and it will show you all of your subscriptions. Find the Patreon one and click. There is a cancel subscription option.

Hi! So patreon said that it shouldn't effect current memberships that subscribed through the app (but I myself would still be sceptical as they could always change that) I'm not sure how to check if you're subbed through the app but you could always cancel to be sure and I think you should still have access as you have already paid - (it should mention if you will lose access or not). If you do this, I would suggest waiting until the new month to resub to stop the potential double charge as I'm not sure on the date when patreon will have the new payment subscription set up.

Hi, hun. I believe I did pledge through the IOS App, but just in case, how do I check if I have or haven't? Also, if I am, if I unsubscribed/cancel from the IOS App and resubscribed here, would I still have to pay the membership price again from the website? Thank you <3
