Handcrafted Dyes & Wool

Have your sim make handcrafted dyes and wool colours at home without having to order through a computer or feed magical treats to your llamas!
(This is a remake of an old mod from my 'Olde Cookbook Kit' mod. Please delete any old versions as they are not compatible)
Important Info:
The Homestead Helper mod is required for this mod to work - download here
To craft the dye and wool recipes, click onto the Homestead Helper Basket to bring up the menu - works like cooking a recipe and you will need a fridge + stove on the lot.
You can have either or both packages but make sure to read the expansion requirements.
Dyes Recipes -
Eco Lifestyle Expansion Pack is required
This overrides the fabricator dyes and also gives them a new mesh/texture
Will conflict with other mods altering fabricator dyes
Makes 4 crafted dyes. Extra dyes will go to your sims inventory (similar to canning recipes)
Cooking level 1 for these recipes.
Wool Recipes -
Cottage Living Expansion Pack is required
Makes a ball of yarn which holds 2 wool in the colour of choice - you must click to turn it into the colour of wool to be used in knitting/sewing recipes.
Will conflict with other mods altering wool
Cooking level 2 for these recipes.
Both Dyes & Wool:
Asks for optional in-game /and custom ingredients from the homestead helper and hunting & foraging mod - custom ingredients will only show if you have those mods installed.
Simple Living Lot trait compatible.
Off the Grid compatible when using this small override.

This mod is compatible with JaneSimsten's Spinning Wheel Mod! - please note, you still have to create Janes yarn to use in knitting/cross stitching. The yarn balls in this mod 'hold' dyed wool rather than used as the required yarn ingredient.

Updated 20-12-2024 - Wool package only.
quick string fix to remove 'llama' so now sheep are not impersonating llamas and the wool will no longer say it is llama wool 😅

Yes, I don't see the make heirloom option on the homestead helper basket, but I don't have EcoLifestyle, so that could be the problem.

You should be able to use any wool for dyeing :)

Yes, it compatible! I have been using it these past few days. You will have to click on the yarn balls to convert them back to wool for both knitting and spinning.
