Under der Linden (Medieval German Song) Lyre Harp Cover
🕑 Added 2025-02-23 15:20:28 +0000 UTCToday, I have another medieval song written by the German poet Walther von der Vogelweide. The name of this song translates to "Under the Lime Tree" in modern English and it's a beautiful love song. I hope you enjoy it. Happy playing!

I’m glad you love the medieval songs! I think they have a special charm when played on the lyre. 😊 As for 'Téir Abhaile Riú,' I’ve had that suggestion before, and I love the tune! Even though it’s fast-paced, I can always slow it down since I can’t play that fast either, lol. I’ll definitely keep the song in mind for future videos!

Hey! Thanks for your message! Sources about the origin of this poem/song seem to say 'Under.' I think it might be in Middle High German which is a bit different from modern language. That’s just my guess. I don’t know any German at all, old or new, lol!

I love medieval songs and such, especially with how they sound on the lyre! Thank you for the cover, I'll try this and hope for the best since it's the first two handed song I'll learn! Also, would have you thought about a cover for "Téir Abhaile Riú"? it's more fast paced but I think it would sound lovely on the lyre!
