Additional Release - Doors!

The thrill of unveiling a new instance and its threats can be rivaled only by opening a new loot chest. Do we need to rest before kick it? Is the treasure kept behind there? Are we hearing growls on the other side??
This makes doors a key and recurring element in dungeon exploration. And as I have been reminded, they were missing from our ArcadianHQ set!
Well, not anymore. I have prepared this small set of gates so that we can properly mark these key places on our boards. Take a look!
This set contains 5 door models, all of them inspired in medieval fantasy. 4 of them are divided into two parts, a base (the same one works for all) and a main body. This way the body can be removed when the door is open, leaving a marker of where it is located on the board.
The remaining model is a much simpler version, in one piece that works as a standee. All models are designed for 25mm grids, although the bases are slightly larger and you would need to adjust the scale of the set in case you need to place it between, for example, two walls.
That would be all about the models, but I would also like to share with you the process I followed to print mine, just in case it is useful to you. Here you can see the result (using an fdm printer)
First, to get a more stable print since the doors are quite thin, I have turned them 90 degrees. This would cause one side to need supports, so to avoid that I have also split the model in half and printed both sides separately.
In addition, taking advantage of this placement of the models, we can now select a layer from which to print with another color filament. Several slicers have this option built-in (I am using PrusaSlicer on these examples), but you can also do it manually by simply pausing the print on the selected layer to change filament.
In this way we will have some good enough doors if our game starts in a couple of hours and we don't have time to start painting (or, like me, have no confidence on your painting skills)

Thank you, I love the Hero Quest stuff! I printed and painted an entire set and played the game with grand nephew and grand niece. My grand nephew is obsessed with painting your miniatures now. I keep having to print out new ones for him to paint. I was able to get a great paint job on these using a Zenithal paint job from white to grey to black then used Army Painters Speed Paints. They ended up looking better than manually layer painting and was really fast! I think I finished about 30 miniatures this way.
