The Road to Dallas Chapter 3: Cactus Jack Does Havana
🕑 Added 2025-04-26 19:02:20 +0000 UTCToday I explore a character that I seldom see mentioned in relation to the JFK assassination, that being Lt. Col. Jack Y. Canon. Could he have been operating undercover in Havana in the wake of the revolution? I explore this question and much more in this new installment of THE ROAD TO DALLAS.

I love the use of the Deus Ex soundtrack, its so appropriate lol.
EWO
Yup, actually all the music in this one is from Disco Elysium
Mark Buckley
Did you pull audio from Disco Elysium for the 11:00 mark?
David Prego
With all the facts: weapons smuggling , ammunitions, killer mercenaries (tourist police officers) from 1958 on FOR CASTRO, HOW can we talk about anti-Castro operations?
EWO
Interesting... a so-called "Frank Shea" is mentioned alongside Jack Shea in Hemming's HSCA testimony as being a part of the crew around Camillo Cienfuegos. I have a bonus video in the works alongside the next part that will get into another one of these figures Johnny Mitchell Devereaux, who was also associated with this bunch. Thanks for the tip I will dig more into this Francis Shea/William Shea character. Seems like this crew was significant, as you will see with Devereaux as well.
Michael Schaefer
Hey EYO please watch “America’s Untold Stories “ the episode that aired today, with Eric Hunley and Mark Groubert about David Atlee Phillips…. Very good watch as well !!!
Riley Ken
Think he might be referring to how apparently, during the Warren Commission, it was reported that people had identified the “mystery man” as Johnny Mitchell Devereaux (who was associated with Jack Canon (misspelt as Jack Cannon) aka “Jack Shea” in Cuba).
Riley Ken
Have you looked into the names “Francis Shea”, “William Shea”, “William F. Shea” - I think there is a connection to your guy, or at least a guy who was a tourist police. Watergate connection too? Maybe

Great episode. Thanks

These are some new faces to the plot in Dallas for me. I am really enjoying your super deep dive into this. Thank you and keep up the great work!
picard714
Indeed uncovering a new face I've not even heard from other researchers. Canon was quite a find. Well done once again, EWO!
Mapster415
Fascinating details here - if it is possible, could you elucidate the story of a second Oswald that supposedly went to Mexico and visited the Russian Embassy there?
EWO
Yes absolutely. There was also a potential plot that was unfolding in Miami as well in I believe July/August 1963 that I’d also like to cover
EWO
I haven’t actually heard of this before but I’m always looking for shorter works to read. Gonna check this out and rip through it, thanks for the tip 🙏

My friend another amazing episode one quick question just in general will you be talking about the very likely supposed assassination attempt on JFK that occurred on Nov 2 in Chicago for this series?
Michael Schaefer
Once again you have provided an excellent example of the Intelligence Community contribution to misdirection and the challenges of chasing shadows. Great work trying to decipher !

Lol 30-06. Known as 30 (awt)6 do better

Curious , do you have a copy of “The Mafia In Havana” by Enrique Cirules ? It is only 163 pages but it is a good read with decent footnotes.

This is a five stars out of 5 stars episode.. for those that want a glimpse of “Hemming Land” here’s a read easier to follow than the many Weberman interviews on YouTube.. https://www.latinamericanstudies.org/belligerence/argosy-hemming.htm
