On multiple levels, which I’ll get to in detail in chapter 4 and back into the road to Dallas. Simply put, several figures around Willoughby in the pacific would end up as key players in the anti-Castro underground - many went on to be CIA contract officers. Also, Willoughby became involved with many groups after his retirement that were involved with the Kennedy assassination myth building and cover up. Again I’ll get much more into this in chapter 4 but I promise it ties back in. I’m doing the whole story of Willoughby because it’s underreported and it adds context to his future political work
