TL;DR I ordered the 100 EUR USB Controller that Orbbec was validated on. Still crap. Suspecting I'm not at fault here... Which I hoped I was!

Nothing reassuring so far. Derivative looking into it, seems like they only tested with a Mega in-house which I'd say is an oversight. They are reaching out to Orbbec

Any update on this? Im looking into getting one of these for an installation but maybe not if users are running into issues using it

Will get back to you about the pc. But laptop uses, AMD USB 3.10 extensible Host Controller.

I'm not sure the libusb applies here, but will check. You can check which usb controller you have in device manager!

I was an openframeworks user before and had issue with v1 Kinect on and systems. https://forum.openframeworks.cc/t/solved-original-kinect-for-windows-windows-10-64bit/22840/35 Last post here. Maybe there is some link with the usb drivers? Libusb k seemed to work with amd systems. Also I have amd 7945hx Lenovo legion 7 pro laptop and a desktop 5600x amd pc with rog strix b550i does this has the same ASmedia usb chipset? I’ll need to check Both ran the Kinect v2 well
