So, I decided to try an exercise in artistic meditation I saw flitting about the internet. It's called automatic drawing. The idea is that you shut out conscious thoughts and just let your mind run on autopilot while you draw. Therefore, this is basically a screenshot of 15 minutes in my mind. I can post more of these as I do them if you all like, but I had a few close friends urge me to upload this.

I freaking LOVE this! The next time you do this, do you think you could video record it? I would love to see how a blank canvas gets scribbles and morphs into this beautiful piece. Side note: Anyone else see the sneaker and rubber duckie? :P

It was difficult to *stay* switched off, but like anything it will take time and multiple tries for perfection. I say go for it.
