JOHN Belushi was a larger-than-life comedic actor, one of the original SNL regulars. Just a few years after becoming famous, he died of a drug overdose. Since then, his brother JIM Belushi has been around, mostly on TV, and has become a kind of shorthand for "all right... not bad... ordinary." That's the way they used his name here, to mean "nothing special." The tag at the end, with the crossword answers that were all characters from the show: the clue "Actor ____ Bridges, 4 letters": there are 2 Bridges brothers, Jeff and Beau. Obviously the right answer was Jeff (another Community character). But Jeff butted in and said it was Beau, and that and his explanation turned everything into complete nonsense.
