One of my favorite episodes. Also a Charlie Brown nod with "The Frozen Banana Maker is In/Out" sign on the Banana Stand, paralleling Lucy's sign for her Therapist Stand. And when George Michael does his sad walk, he first walks by 2 guys with a Christmas tree before passing the dog house. The name of the music playing is "Christmas Time Is Here" from A Charlie Brown Christmas. Also, one of the best jokes in the series in this one... Michael: I think George Michael's hiding Anne in the attic. Lindsey: From who, the Nazis?

Not sure if you caught it but George is buried in a bunker like Saddam Hussein was after the military toppled his regime & he fled, and George looks like Saddam did after he was captured, adding more humor to the whole Bluth-Iraq gag

And of course the episode title "Good Grief" is a big Charlie Brown reference, as well as being perfect for the "Pop pop is dead" scenario. I'm so glad you picked up immediately on all that, including Snoopy lying on top of his doghouse. This is indeed an incredibly dense multi-layered series. It's almost impossible to catch everything on first viewing, but you do astonishingly well (better than I did).
