Thanks for the channel recommendation! I love podcasts, but I find if I don't have something to keep my eyes focused on then I zone out. Most of the time I end up watching Korean bakery/factory cooking videos, or videos of walking city tours with the sound off (and subtitles if available). I feel like this might become a new obsession.

I would have dug this tbh - while I’m glad myself and Brian did get to meet, I would have trusted the enforcers’ judgement on that one had they deemed it necessary at the time. As it was, they wrapped the meeting line around one of the larger pocket areas in the corridor by the escalators as a compromise.

I think "Be fans, not fire hazards" would make an effective crowd dispersing sign--especially if it's not clear it's frowned upon.

Note on the yokozuna rank - it's not limited to one person at once - there have been times with no yokozunas, and there have been times with up to 4 at once. Also, MidnightSumo on twitch streams sumo matches regularly (although they haven't been streaming as much recently). And there are some good sumo video essayists on youtube.

p.s. you are the best judge of your own tolerances but i hope that if the balance between fun-to-meet-people and oh-no-crowds ever tips too far, you won't let anybody (even your own sense of obligation) push you into going to cons/etc if you actually don't want to. take care of yourself!

holy moly i LOVE it when somebody seat-of-the-pantses an intricate presentation about something they recently got into. there is nothing like an insatiable enthusiasm. i woulda been sad if you had cut this down to 10.
