Hi Jake, my questions for today are DAW-oriented: 1. How do you write polyrhythms in your DAW? Do you constantly have to switch the signature from 7/8 to 4/4 (for example) or is there a smoother way of doing that? 2. Me being a complete amateur at music production, I often struggle with terms such as "compression" and "dynamics". In terms of the sound wave, what does compression do to sound? When and how much of it would you use? When people speak about "dynamics", what exactly are they referring to? 3. When I'm recording guitar, I'm getting an insane amount of buzz in my DAW. Noise gate helps, but I end up losing some of the lower volumes that I need to record. What do you suggest to clean up the signal? Thanks again, and good luck with the course!
