Jake, great video. I finally can start and learn writing my own solos. And the video about modes last time showed me how to write mode progressions on purpose. Guitar playing makes now more fun. Btw, if someone needs some help (like me) writing mode progressions or soloing over it. I use this tool SL Modes 2.5.0 from Sinewaves Lab. It helps a lot for looking adjacent scales. For example: Set on the left your key to A Dorian and on the right select 6 notes and you will see ALL scales which have 6 notes common with A Dorian. It goes from 2 to 6 notes. 7 of course makes no sense ;-) Ok. Enough excitment. https://sinewavelab.com/products/slmodes/

Hi Jake, congratulations on publishing your new book. I got it the first hour it got out and it is fantastic. Thank you. My question is regarding soloing over a song composed of circle of fifth progression. How do you approach this issue? Thank you for your time.

Hi Jake, new subscriber here, hope you're well. One of my favourite bands uses a chord which I'm trying to understand properly, they use it in many different places but the easiest way to describe it is C# G# D#, does this chord have a formal name? Thanks
