Submit your question below and attach any relevent pieces of media (links, sheet music, etc). Please keep in mind that I can't play copyrighted music on stream, but I can definitely analyze it and re-create it on my guitar or computer. If Patreon blocks one of your links (or mysteriously deletes your comment) you can email me directly with your quesiton, but also make sure to post here as well so I can keep track of everything in one spot.
You also might need to attach an mp3 or a picture of some sheet music, in which case you can send it to signalsmusicjake@gmail.com. But also post your question here!
The stream will begin tomorrow night (Sunday April 28th) at 8PM CT. They usually go for about 70-90 minutes, but if the questions are too numerous, I'll split it into two streams. I answer questions in the order that they're recieved and will stop taking questions an hour before broadcast so I can ensure that I prepare a proper answer for you.
The livestream will be available aftewards too, so you don't have to tune in live. But if you do, you're welcome to ask questions live at the end of the stream. So ask away!

Don't have a question this time around, but given lyrics are such a pain for so many musicians that you can write bangers about totally mundane things. E.g. poppin' party wrote a sick tune about their favorite pastry, chocolate cornets. Hi Jake, hoping you can help analyze a song I’ve been writing/working on. I’m fairly new to music theory and videos like yours are a fantastic resource and have taught met me so much, THANKS! The song I’m writing starts in the key B minor with a simple… Bmin F#min chord progression under a B minor vocal melody. After a couple of times through I change the progression to… A / G / A / G F# / G / F# / G A / F# The Amaj & Gmaj seem to be “in” key but the F#maj seems “out” of key. Is this an example of simply borrowing a chord from another key? Or there something else theory wise going on? Love to hear your thoughts on this. Thanks in advance! Eric
