Hi, I’m late to the party (I’ve been on holiday), which ironically is quite lamentable. But I’ve managed to put something together for Week 1. Just a short piece. Hoping you still might have a look at this. It has got me a little confused. The progression goes like this: Em/C | Dsus4/B | Dm7/A | C/G x2 The first chord is essentially a Cmaj7 but I think because of the inversion I’m using it does sound very minor/sad. In fact, the whole piece doesn’t really sound major overall. I’m hoping maybe you could shed some light on why this sounds so minor despite the major lament bass. https://drive.google.com/file/d/14oO5vDJ--duuTnJJyaG7u1KIqw21NKhM/view?usp=sharing

Argh! I misread your post. I thought you said by the end of Sunday. Well, I'm posting anyway. The chord progression is: Key of E Beginning to middle: E:D:C#m:B Middle to End: Eadd9:D6:C#(half measure)C#sus4(half measure):Bm Song: https://soundcloud.com/user-834279913-494217831/le-mint

Last time I tried this, it was too soft to hear (even though it sounded fine to me). Can someone pleas confirm if this is hearable? (That's not a word, but it should be!) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AQBrtTeCwbAM80FqgREaTykuLazKkzPk/view?usp=drive_link Working in G Mixolydian (or, the 5th mode of C, if I did my math right). The chords are: G C - B5 - Am - G Gsus/C - G/B - G9/A - G7 That G9/A is a stretch, but technically correct (I think). The first section is just basic setting up the tones and getting a feel for what's happening. Then I repeat the chords for the second section but change the time signature to 5/4, keep the lament stable with a tuba, and do the Meow Mix thing in a different way with the bass guitar. I finish off back in 4/4 with the same first 4 bars as the first section. Thanks!!
