Life and Delays
🕑 Added 2023-01-10 22:18:21 +0000 UTCAlright, this last weekend has sucked. I'm behind on the youtube stuff and haven't been able to work on the mod much. You guys pay for this shit, for some reason I will never understand, so you deserve an explanation. This will be cross-posted to youtube as well.
Myself and my wife had some good friends. Had being the key word there. Known them for 12 years at least, got on great, etc. This weekend, they decided to fall out with us because of some percieved slight my wife SUPPOSEDLY did when she went to visit last. They'd just lost a cat, she was trying to keep the friend occupied and show her cute things... which happened to be cat pictures... which she had done in the past when they lost cats. Apparently that was too much and the friends no longer wish to speak with us anymore.
So I didn't do shit that day because I was trying to keep my wife calm and I was just too tired after all that.
Then the next day (so this was Sunday), we FINALLY went to see my wife's mother for belated christmas gift swapping. She hasn't been well for months and had tests. Felt well enough to see us, finally, and also had her results that she wanted to share. Yeah, she has a terminal illness. Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis to be specific. Now the GOOD thing is they caught it super early, so she's likely on the "high" end of the life expectancy.
But... y'know... terminal illness. So you can guess how both myself and my wife felt after that news.
That illness, until it's properly controlled, also means my wife's mother is not allowed to drive... and her sister has COVID... so we're helping out with shopping and such whenever we can for my wife's mother.
And this? This is just the absolute top of the mountain of shit we've had to deal with. There's more, but if I shared that, my life would sound like a fucking soap opera, and it's nothing compared to the above. It's cat rescue/cat food/cat litter related and a lot of driving involved and leave it at that. ;)
So if I'm a bit snappy or not around much, I'm sorry. All of the above is why. I'll try to get back on track with youtube vids and mod updates asap, but I felt you all needed to know what the hell is going on.

Thank you for the update and your honesty and humility, it's much appreciated. I can relate and understand. Sounds like you have your priorities straight, love and relationships always come first in times of crisis!
As has been said YOU and your immediate family come first and always will. I need to add hugs to you and your family. Take care of them and you.

I'm very sorry for your loss. Right now I think the reality of the mother in law having 3-5 years has finally set in and the wife is planning to spend as much time with her as possible.
You have every reason to take all the time needed to deal with grief and loss. My husband died recently so playing a game doesn't always feel right (but sometimes it lets me forget for a while). We've got lots to play around with until you feel ready to get back into things.
I’m very familiar with the feeling of shit pilled on shit, as more shit rains down. Sending the best wishes towards you, your wife, and everyone close to you.

Not sure what any of this says, I'm incapable of reading. (Thank the heavens for talk to text) I'm sure it's something about how we should all up our tiers so you can fund your plot for global domination. As much as I respect a man with a plan I don't feel you're quite equipped to rule the world. That being said keep up the good work, despite any delays due to your vigorous evil planning. Content is always great and I'll always support.
