Building that relationship with someone that you're making and creating something is so important and often overlooked. My best friends, some I've known since childhood, have been playing in a band for a few years now and the more I've reconnected with them, the less guidance they give me for creating stuff for them. Shirt designs, flyers, posters, album artwork, music videos, etc etc etc. They are familiar enough with my work and my style that they tell me roughly what they want and then let me take the wheel. It's a wonderful and fulfilling feeling.

Iβm so happy to hear someone else talk about how the relationship plays into album cover art To get an artist to trust you 100% with their album takes sooo much time, which is completely fair! I design almost exclusively cover art and even artists Iβve known for years will be wary sometimes and I gotta be like βtrust meβ
