Just watching this after watching a Startalk with Neil deGrasse Tyson with a guest botanist Simon Gilroy on whether plants think - both had the same question about cutting grass. Very strange juxtaposition

I'm absolutely here for philosophy. Fun stuff! I always make my avatars at least vaguely like me. Guess I'm self obsessed lmao.

Great video, especially about struggling with characters making choices with consequences. Please consider making a full length video about that. I'm also interested in more about DMing powerful groups. It seems like the DMG encounter builder math works good for single class characters, but is still weak for multiclass optimized characters.

What I’m getting from this is that the Dungeon dudes would love deltarune

I did not see this stream of consciousness conversation coming, but boy, I needed that!!!

For narrative and D&D sessions, Harry Potter a very good analogy. Bar the opening chapter the whole story unfolds from Harry’s perspective, and they’re a great example of the narrative contortions you have to do to get a complex plot to unfold when you’re locked in to only one viewpoint…

Hm, did you smoke a sock before this conversation? 😜 Would be cool to have a bonus video on what stuff you've been watching / reading / playing

This has been my favourite bonus content so far. I, too, love it when seemingly silly or surface questions lead to a deep conversation. Thank you for your amazing minds, keep wandering and letting me join! I would be a spider plant, cleaning the air for all, and looking cool while doing it.

I'd be a Venus fly trap.

That grass bit reminded me so heavily of Tool's Disgustipated: "These are the cries of the carrots, the cries of the carrots! You see, Reverend Maynard Tomorrow is harvest day and to them it is the holocaust"

Kelly, if you want to be a cactus you're going to have to be a lot more prickly.

Now Kelly, don't you not be comin' round here not askin no questions...

The way the questions at the start were asked gave very strong Game Changer energy. Then Monty gets onto Phenomenology and it becomes a philosophy podcast, which I also love.

"If every blade of grass was sentient and I heard their screams when someone mowed the lawn..." this is the top tier content I pay for and it's so worth it 🤣
