How should they go about addressing emotional needs of MEN?
I just left a woman for the same reasons as this lady. Emotional needs weren't being met.

Yeah, in my opinion it’s wrong, because it’s dishonest. And it’s certainly not a healthy attitude to have when committing to a lifelong relationship with someone: “I’m going to fix him, I’m going to mold and manipulate him to suit my preferences.” I don’t think most guys get into relationships with this kind of thinking. Men usually date or marry a woman because they accept her and like her for who she is...not who they can change her into.

What is your point ? Is it wrong for them to do this ?
Michael Kiddy
This is what women do all the time: marry men expecting to change him, to mold him into what they want. To select, buffet-style, those qualities they deem acceptable and encourage them, while at the same time weeding out the aspects of him they don’t like, with whatever manipulative methods they choose to use. They treat men like a fixer-upper house...good enough, but needs work. It can be so much better. Grr.

My wife married a shy-fool.

This article reminds me of something a Pixar animator once said. " The hardest part about art is learning how to see." To give more context it was a way of saying that when we look at things we don't see them as what they are but an emotional abstraction he has stored in memory.
