Yo Ben! First, this is awesome. Right up my alley as a pentatonic enthusiast. So thank you. This is extremely useful and opened up a lot of ideas for me. Second, technical question: when you were first going over the concept of the shift as being a shift as opposed to a slide in order to maintain the alternate picking direction, you shifted down with your pointer/first finger instead of hitting the sixth note with your ring finger, and shifting down with your ring finger to the next note. I'm curious if there is a specific reason for the finger choice? Is it something that just felt comfortable for you that you think could work either way depending on the player? or is there a specific technical or efficiency advantage to shifting with the pointer/first finger? ... I'm experimenting both ways, but for me it seems easier and more natural hitting the last note with my ring finger and shifting the ring finger down to the next note. Thanks in advance!
