The fragments of mindless patterns loosens the tension in the room.. then you can begin the work :)

Super excited about this topic! I would love to see a very mechanics-focused start, then go into good-sounding scalar stuff at the end. More time on the mechanical side of things. I love the way you explain concepts and how you put things into words, and I think I get the most out of when you describe a technique, phenomenon or sensation. Keep it up Ben! 👌

I say 3 notes per string on 2 string. That forces you to change. I am an upward pick slanter and i have an issue with hitting the third note on the second string because my pick is stuck between the strings. I have to cut my angle on that last note.

Im greedy and definitely saying both

Musical idea’s always beat chromatic for me , solos, etudes , whatever, have very limited time so can’t spend it on spider exercises, also have very low boredom patience threshold 😂. like someone else said the Marty Friedman style stuff is great.

I guess both is ok - but for people with limited practice time you probably want to focus on something techical and usable/musical to be efficient - just my two “sense”
