Being Fiona - Outfit Experiments
🕑 Added 2022-09-30 16:02:00 +0000 UTC*Minor Spoilers*
So after the visit to the hot spring, Fiona's going to visit a clothing shop with Lisa (about 18 strips from now).
Way back in March, about a month into drawing this comic, I got sick and tired of Fiona's costume. So I added a scene into the strip where Fiona picks out a new one. Six months later I've finally reached the point where I can start posing and sketching it.
Funny thing is, I'm going to go through all of this effort picking a new outfit for her, and then right after she picks it, the story is shift to the real world for a bit.
Anyhow, let me know which ones you like best!

To me all the artwork is just fantastic. I'd have a vote for the #4 on the second panel... But the half-capes are absolutely godly ! I'd love to see one on another bare shoulder outfit. Thanks for sharing the development <3

I like #4 in the first image personally

I find candidates 2 and 4 look out-of-place in a stereotypical fantasy setting; they feel too much sci-fi. Candidate 1 (the dress) may still be a little bit too revealing to Fiona's taste, but candidate 3 (pants and coat) is too tame, and maybe looks too modern. So candidate 1 is my favorite. In the "can't wear this" image, I would choose the first one on the left, certainly too short for her taste (unless/until she gets used to showing off some skin). In the "agility" image, I feel the second outfit from the left looks too cumbersome for an agility-based class. The corset on the fourth one also looks un-agile. The first design may be a tad too modern, so third design it is. For the cute dress, the middle one is also by far my favorite. I also find a variation of the last of the "did not make the cut" would look good on Sophie. Finally, it's funny that I find the first two "better in space" are actually a bit less "space-y" than candidates 2 and 4 in the first image. :)

For the first image, the coat/turtleneck combo is unquestionably the best. (I love the high waisted pants and bustier combo too!)
