Also, considering all the problems we currently have with how easy it is to generate fake images & videos of real people, the Dreamband's ability to virtually recreate someone you know from your memory, make them do whatever you want in a life-like simulation, and then record and share it, is ripe for abuse.

Yeah that makes sense. Fake-Lisa was very quick to drop character and say “yes correct I’m not a real person!” The AI tech in this universe is craazy.

I guess in that time and age, image abuse are so easy to do that either nobody trusts anything anymore, or images by law must include some kind of indication of their pedigree (such as "from a Dreamband", "straight from camera", "edited in Dreamshop").
