When it came time to color the waffles, I estimated the color, only to have the bluish shadows I added after push the hue to 1 RGB green more than red. I went back and fixed it by getting the waffle color from a photo of waffles.

You can wear socks with leggings. Whether to wear socks or not is more about the shoes. If you are just walking around your apartment and the floor is cold then wearing socks with leggings makes a lot of sense, its something I've done many times. Plus if I'm wearing closed toe boots, I'm going to wear socks even with leggings. If I'm wearing some cute open top wedges I'm not going to wear socks regardless of whether I'm wearing leggings or not.
